Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and are an option available for one or multiple missing teeth. There are two types of implants offered here at Lehigh Valley Smiles: traditional and mini implants.
Mini implants use the same basic procedure as regular implants, but are smaller and the process takes significantly less time. Our patients don’t need as much bone density for implanting them since the titanium metal post is about half the size of regular implants. They also don’t need to wait the three months for the bone to heal before completing the procedure.
Here are the steps our patients go through when getting mini dental implants at our dental office:
1. Patients first get x-rays to determine if there is enough jawbone for the implant.
2. A crown abutment is fabricated prior to beginning the process .
3. The patients is administered anesthesia and our dentist makes a small incision in the gum to reach the jawbone.
4. The small titanium post is installed directly into the jawbone.
5. Once the post is in place, the crown is screwed on top of the post.
Mini implants are done in about 2-3 weeks, as opposed to 3-6 months for regular implants. They cost less, are completed easier and have a simpler recovery process.

Lumineers
Lumineers are an ultra-thin type of veneers that help improve your smile by covering imperfections of your teeth. There are many reasons our patients here at Lehigh Valley Smiles choose Lumineers, including to cover staining or discoloration, to eliminate gaps and spaces, to correct misalignment of teeth, and to reshape teeth that are misshapen.
The Lumineers are made from very thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded securely to the teeth. The quality and end result is the same as veneers, except there is better comfort among patients choosing Lumineers from our dentist Dr. Alan Dilsaver. As a thinner version of veneers, they provide patients with many benefits.
Traditional veneers require reshaping and filing down of the natural tooth prior to fitting on the veneer. With Lumineers, less preparation work needs to be done to the teeth because they are much thinner. Patients benefit by losing less of their natural teeth, completing the procedure in less time, and paying less for the cosmetic treatment. Here at Lehigh Valley Smiles, we offer Lumineers as a great option for restoring your smile.
Visit our dental office in Easton, PA to get started on your brand new smile with Lumineers.

Teeth Whitening
Your teeth can become stained or discolored, even if you focus on keeping them clean. Things like drinking wine and coffee, or smoking cigarettes can stain your teeth over an extended period of time. If your teeth have lost their luster, it might be time to get teeth whitening performed. Our Lehigh Valley Smiles dental office offers the tray whitening system for brightening your teeth, which provides excellent results and is done as part of a two-step process.
The first step of tray whitening is taking impressions of your teeth to be used for creating custom trays. While it takes about 2-3 weeks for the trays to be fabricated, they are reusable in case you want to get teeth whitening repeated in the future. Once the trays are ready, patients return to our Easton, PA dental practice where we fill the trays with a whitening gel and place the trays on the teeth. The tray is worn for a specific period of time, and we ask patients to repeat the process over several days.
Once the tray whitening process is complete, the teeth are 4-8 shades whiter and patients are given the trays and extra whitening gel to use again when they choose to. If you are looking for whiter teeth, call dentist Dr. Alan Dilsaver at 610-252-7414 to schedule an appointment.

Veneers
If you are looking to improve your smile, you are like many of our patients here at Lehigh Valley Smiles. They often visit our dental office in Easton, PA looking to restore and enhance their smile so they feel more confident.Veneers are one way to do that, as they cover a wide range of smile imperfections.
From staining and discoloration to the shape, alignment, and size of the teeth, veneers cover it all. Made from ceramic or porcelain, veneers are made to fit over the patient’s natural teeth and blend in beautifully with the rest of their teeth for a flawless smile.
Some patients need to have their teeth filed down in order to make room for the veneers. This is for their benefit as it prevents the teeth from looking abnormally large or obvious. After this is done by our dentist, Dr. Alan Dilsaver, impressions are made and in two weeks, patients return to our office for the veneers. They are bonded to their teeth with cement and polished as the final step.
Veneers function and look like natural teeth, providing a quick and effective fix for many dental issues. Contact Dr. Alan Dilsaver to learn more about how dental veneers can restore your smile.

Invisalign
Invisalign is one of many orthodontic services provided by Dr. Alan Dilsaver here at Lehigh Valley Smiles. Invisalign uses plastic aligners that are nearly translucent, are comfortable, and are removable. Patients here at our Easton office with mild to moderate spacing, overcrowding, and bite issues are great candidates for Invisalign.
Our patients start the process by getting impressions of their teeth and waiting for their first set of aligners. They are asked to wear them at all times, except during meals and while brushing or flossing their teeth. Every few months, they return to our office for a new set of aligners, which continue moving their teeth to the correct position. By the end of the process, they are left with straight teeth and their overbite or underbite corrected. It is a simple process, with a fabulous end result of a beautiful smile.
Patients that choose Invisalign often report they enjoy how easy they are to use and that they did not stain their teeth. Another benefit to Invisalign is that wearers tend to wear them for less time than other types of orthodontics.
If you think this may be a good option for you, call us at 610-252-7414. We’ll be happy to answer any and all questions you have about Invisalign braces.
